Blue Zoo is a proud supporter of the 2017 Rebound WA Wheelchair Challenge.

For over 60 years Rebound WA (formerly Wheelchair Sports WA), has been helping people with physical disability to live fuller, healthier and more active lives. People living with physical disability can face many barriers – both external and internal. Rebound WA provides support, information, advocacy, sport, activities and community for its members.

Blue Zoo proudly provides funding support for this event as a passionate contributor to both disability services and sport and recreation in Western Australia. Every contribution makes a difference so please DONATE NOW so that Rebound WA can continue this important work.

The Wheelchair Challenge is an event which challenges people to spend just one day of their life in a wheelchair, whilst raising money for our charity. This initiative aims to:

  • Raise much needed funds to help us continue the work we do;
  • Raise awareness of the work we do in the community; and
  • Raise awareness of the challenging daily issues of accessibility encountered by people with a physical disability, by providing their able bodied peers with the opportunity to have first-hand experience in a wheelcha

This Charity receives very little funding from government, so every little contribution will make a difference for Rebound WA and the children and adults it helps.

This year the CEO of Rebound WA will spending one whole day of in a wheelchair. Aside from raising funds for this Charity, it will also provide first-hand experience of living with a disability and dealing with the challenging daily issues of accessibility.
